Description

Zirconium Oxide ZrO₂, or Zirconium Dioxide, practically insoluble in water, and slight soluble in HCl and HNO₃, melting point 2700°C, density 5.85g/cm³, is odorless crystal with high melting point, high resistivity, high refractive index and low thermal expansion coefficient properties, which is the important high temperature resistant materials, ceramic insulating materials, ceramic sunscreens and raw materials for artificial gems. ZrO₂ is general goods which should be kept in cool, dry and well-ventilated place, keep the container tightly closed and away from strong alkali. Zirconium Oxide ZrO₂is commonly used for making metal zirconium and zirconium compounds, high frequency ceramics, abrasive materials, ceramic pigments, refractory material and optical glass.
