Tellurium Oxide

Description

Tellurium Oxide TeO₂ or Tellurium Dioxide 99.9%, 99.99%, 99.999% 3N 4N 5N, a solid oxide of tellurium, is insoluble water but soluble in strong acids and alkali metal hydroxides, melting point 733°C and density 5.67g/ml, CAS 7446-07-3, is in two different forms of the yellow orthorhombic mineral tellurite β-TeO₂, and the synthetic, colorless tetragonal (paratellurite) α-TeO₂. Tellurium Oxide is thermally stable tellurium source suitable for glass, optic and ceramic applications. Tellurium Oxide TeO₂ crystal is an ideal acousto-optical semiconductor material to convert light into sound with high optical homogeneity, low light absorption and scattering. Tellurium Oxide TeO₂  at Western Minmetals (SC) Corporation can be delivered in size of -200mesh, -325mesh submicron powder in package of 2kg in polyethylene bottle, or 1kg, 2kg, 5kg in aluminum composite bag carton box outside, or as customized specification to the perfect solutions. 

Applications

Tellurium Oxide is used in the preparation of tellurium dioxide crystal for acousto-optic devices such as acousto-optical deflector, acousto-optic-switched, surface acoustic wave devices, etc. High purity tellurium dioxide is promising material and increasing demands in anti-corrosive materials especially in batteries, special glasses with high refractive indices and transmit into mid-IR region, the research of fiber optics, in optical waveguides and optical fiber amplification, piezo-electric crystal, infrared devices, infrared window material, electroplating material, and to prepare tellurium metal, telluric acids and salts and telluride compounds etc.
