Description

Tungsten Carbide Grit, also called Crushed Cemented Carbide, Crushed Tungsten Carbide, with 6%, 8%,10% cobalt content and tungsten carbide balance, melting point 3410°C, boiling point 5100°C, density 14.50-14.85 g/cm³, is a kind of material by crushing tungsten carbide with cobalt bonded alloy such as anvil scrap and other tungsten alloy bar, rod, inserts and tips scrap to mesh size required for different application. Tungsten Carbide Grit has high thermal conductivity, high strength and extremely harder than aluminum oxide. Tungsten Carbide Grit or Crushed Tungsten Carbide and Crushed Cemented Carbide at Western Minmetals (SC) Corporation can be delivered in YG6, YG8, YG10 grade with size of 3-5, 8-14, 10-16, 12-20, 16-24, 24-40 and 60-80 mesh in package of 25kg in plastic bag with iron drum outside, or as customized specification to reach the perfect solution.

Applications

Tungsten Carbide Grit is suitable for hard surfacing material to increase the wear resistance properties, which is widely used in metal bonded products for abrasion of tough materials such as composites, fiberglass, reinforced plastics, rubber and other specialized parts by thermal spraying process, wear-resistance electrode and mace electrode, saw blade, rock and stone polishing and engraving, ceramic and metal lapping and polishing applications, glass etching and glass carving industries.
